Discover the authentic old Beijing hutongs with two flexible tour choices, covering Qianmen and Shichahai historic districts.

Option 1: Pure Hutong Walking Tour (Qianmen or Shichahai) Take a leisurely guided walk through winding old alleyways such as Antique Street,Guanyinsi Street,DaZhaLan etc. Wander at your own pace, admire classic courtyard houses (siheyuan), listen to your guide’s stories about local history, old traditions and daily life of Beijing residents. You can stop freely to take photos, browse tiny local shops and taste traditional Beijing snacks. This relaxed walking experience is great for travelers who love to explore slowly and soak up the neighborhood atmosphere.

Option 2: Shichahai Rickshaw + Walking Combined Tour Start with a classic rickshaw ride through the quiet lanes of Shichahai. Glide past lakes, ancient courtyards and old residences while your rickshaw puller navigates the narrow hutongs. After the rickshaw segment, continue on foot along the lakeside. Stroll beside Shichahai Lake, visit hidden courtyards, watch locals doing morning activities and enjoy the mix of old Beijing scenery and casual lakeside vibe. It blends the fun of a traditional rickshaw ride with flexible walking exploration.

We offer convenient wireless tour headset rental for your group. With the headset, you can clearly hear your guide’s commentary even in crowded lanes, no need to shout or struggle to follow. The headsets are lightweight and extremely easy to operate. Rental price: RMB 10 (approx. 1.5 USD) per person. Security deposit: RMB 50 (approx. 6.99 USD) per headset, fully refundable once the equipment is returned undamaged.
